我估計很少人會有我這種情況：我現在是H1B,I-94卡上H1B有效期是明年2011年，因為家庭的原因我決定轉成H4，並且在今年2月遞交了H1轉 H4 的申請。依據網上查到的H4審批的速度，我想H4至少要到下個月即4月份才會批準，而我也準備在3月中旬才向公司提出辭職，因為想給公司半個月的notice.可沒想到移民局在一周以前已經批準了我的H4 申請，而我也沒有辦法立刻從公司辭職，因為不想對公司那樣不仁不義。那現在我有如下幾個問題：
1，現在我是不是H4在非法工作了？

2， 3月底我就辭職了，如果是非法打工的話也就20天，會有多嚴重的後果？會給我以後申請綠卡或者回國簽證帶來麻煩嗎？
-Because you violated the H4 status rule, your H4 status is invalid and that means you are unlawyfully present at this point. Unlawyful presence for several weeks does not affect your anything if USCIS does not catch you and deport you. But the problem is that if you continue to stay in U.S., your unlawful presence will increase and whne it reaches 180 days, you will be big trouble. So, you had better go out of U.S. to get an H4 visa to come back and thus, your unlawyful presence record will be removed auto matically.
