They told me my I-485 is out of date (ted in 2008) and not current and asked me to get my I-485 renewed first (really silly idea about this!!!).

How can I deal with this issue?
-Just apply for the EAD and use this EAD to get the driver license. Driverlicense application has nothing to do with your I-485. EAD is enough.
