pjiang and 863211, pleaes help. Form I-129 Question

I have a question regarding form I-129 H Classification Supplement question 3. It says I need to list my prior periods of stay in H classification in the United States for the last six years. My employer is renewing my H1B (non-profit org). I was in H1 status in 2000-2002 (company).

Q1. Do I need to list it in the form?
Q2. If not, how does the USCIS know how many years I can extend my H1B?
