I may misunderstood your answer.

Do you mean that if both job titles “Software Developer” or “Senior Software Engineer”from my new employer have the same salary and benefits, just use the same title as my old title in my previous employer (GC job title). That should be Software Developer.

My new employer allows me to use both job titles “Software Developer” or “Senior Software Engineer” with the same salary and benefits. However, my salary from new employer is much higher than my salary from my Green Card sponsoring company.
