A: If only for the tax filing purpose, use w-7 form along with the tax return.

If you want to list your parents as your dependents on your tax return, they only need to get ITIN, not SSN.

If you want them to work and earn income, you will need to submit I-765 along with the green card application package. Then you may use the EAD to get SSN for them (I am not too sure about this part.).
