1. I don't know. Usually J1 is very hard to apply GC.

2. You can transfer to H1 anytime after you got J1 waiver. It is not eaiser as J1. You need to ask your international office.

3. No. But after J1 waiver, you cannot renew your J1.

4. No. But you must make sure you can back with your visa. Ask your international office.
