There is a occupation list for independent immigration to Canada.This list changes every year. For each occupation title, there is detailed description of the occupation.If your occupation is on the list, then you might be qualified for immigration to Canada. I think, they want to make sure your occupation is the one on the list,just job title is not enough.They want you describe your job to find if your occupation is mostly close to one on the list. I don't know where to get the list (a thick book). Most Immigration Lawyers or agencies who do canadian immigration business have it. Other factors also affect your qualification for immigration to canada, such as Age, Degree, work experiences, relatives in canada etc. They can rate your qualification by 1 to 100 points. In most canadian consulate office abroad, there is a automatic rating computer, you enter your own data, computer give you the rating number. Good Luck!
