I think you'll need all documents that will prove the following: (1) you have never been out of status and (2) you are currently legally residing in the U.S.
This means:
* I-20(s),
* your transcripts,
* diploma(s),
* any OPT time needs to been documented - copy of EAD card, if any
* your H1-B approval notice (Form I-797 and new I-94),
* a letter from your employer (on company letterhead) stating that you are in the position that the H1-B is approved for since (or after) the date of the H1-B approval, and perhaps even your salary. Your SSN may also be included in this letter. Needs to be signed by your supervisor who processed your H1-B for you.
The law office I've used usually will recommend the full set of document submitted when you filed your H1-B.
If I think of something else I'll post again. Good luck.
