I-94 will expire in 3 days. Appreciate your help!

I am on H1B with 797 valid thru May 2011. Visited Canada last week (wish I had not) and upon entry to US, the custom officer issued an I-94 valid thru Oct 3rd. Just realized the bad situation after talking with my company's immigration office. Appreciate your help with below questions:

1. is it possible for my employee to file extension and keep my legal staus within 3 days?
2. If #1 is impossible, do I have any ptions other than leaving US?
3. Can I possibly go to China consulate in US to renew my passport?
