我今年年初被雷了，從H1B轉成了B2 身份。我的B2這個月 9月25號過期，現在有個postdoc的offer。可是今天那個學校負責H1B的人告訴我說：Obtain Prevailing Wage from the state Dept of Economic Development 可能會需要倆個禮拜，所以可能到
10月初才可以file我的H1B申請。現在有倆個問題:

1)Obtain Prevailing Wage from the state Dept of Economic Development 為什麽需要這麽久？
-Yes, USCIS changed the rule recently, so it takes about two weeks to LCA (not prevail salary)which is necessary for the H1 petition.

有沒有什麽辦法可以快些。
-No.

2）如果真的要到10月初才可以file我的H1B申請的話，這之間會有1-2 個禮拜的gap，我的H1B申請還會批嗎？
-Mostl likely, Yes, because USCIS usually is not strict in this issue. The worst, you h1 petition is still approved, but it may have not I-94. If so, you just go outside of U.S. (Canada, Mexico or China) to get an H1 visa and come back to activate your H1 status.
