H-1b ,you must have waiver first, how you get it done, confused
anyway, I went to canada to get my new f-1 visa in 2001, and used it back to china,( by that time, i did not get waiver applied ) no problem at all since i have 2 entries allowed on new visa stamp,

but if you do not get this in advance, you may be stopped for not waived first
