My mom came to USA in 2007, at that time, we thought she will never come back again, so we didn't extend her six month visa but just let her stay about one year.
-If her unlawful presence was > 6 months < one year, she will be banned to enter US within 3 years. After three years later, she should have no problem to get a visa.
