請教前輩：可以在母親探親期間申請移民嗎？

媽媽退休了，好不容易盼來能來美國探親6個月。如果在她探親期間為她申請移民，有可能在這6個月期間辦下來嗎？
如果不行，可不可以滯留美國直到有個結果還是要回國去等？
如果選滯留，今後申請父親移民或探親會不會有麻煩？

另一個可能是在她來探情前在國內申請移民。可有人說在申勤移民期間會被拒入美國。不知是真還是有誤。
