I have a pending 485 and EAD, I am the principal applicant.
If I choose to use EAD to find a new job and my 485 got denied before I start a new job, do I lose my status and have to leave the US right away? My LD is on H-1B status, can I switch to H-4 after 485 got denied without haveing to leave the country? My company is willing to put me on unpaid leave, if that is the case, should I switch to EAD now, and then my company does not have to report to USCIS that this person is laid off a month later when I will be removed from the payroll, and a RFE will then be less likely.
Any suggestions is appreciated, Thanks
Got laid off, should I apply for H-4?
