ask experts like PJIANG etc B-2 extension for my mother

Dear experts,

I desperately hope to extend my mother's B-2 for another 5-6 months because no body else could take care of our kid. I applied 539 for my parents-in-law last year, but it was denied after 5 months for not providing plan for the extended stay. However, this year the processing date for 539 is only 2.5 months. I do need my mother to stay as late as possible.

My questions are what are the best reasons to apply for the extension. BTW My father is also here but he will leave after 3 months saty.

COuld you please share your experience if you succeded recently? I heard it's very difficult nowadays.
