I found out my mom's name was spelled incorrectly by the USCIS at her finger print appointment. The service person asked me to present my mom's birth certificate and she corrected the spelling and also copied the certificate. She said it would be correct in USCIS system from then.
Now I received notice to ask my mom to interview for her GC in August. The spelling wasn't corrected. What do I do? If I ask USCIS to correct it right now, will it slow down her application? If I point it out at the interview, will it be too late?
Thank you for your suggestions!
How to correct the name spelling error in I-485?
