u can get an interview and convince company to apply H1 for you is difficult because of the H1 quota. On company's side, they want to hire a person to do the work right away, but you have to wait the h1. Some small companys allow you to do voluntary work and then apply H1B for you later. But mid size companys which has a strict HR policy won't allow this. All in all, it is possible, but not very likely.
