我是加拿大公民,目前以TD身份在美國,7月底到期.老公公司已經為他延期了TN到2012年,而且H1-B也已經拿到,可是要10月份生效.請問各位高手,我是不是要在7月底前先延期我的TD身份,然後到了10月份再申請轉換H4?
-You can file change of your status from TD to H4 directly beofre your current TD expires (在7月底前), ane then you can wait for the H4 approval legally. But if your H4 is approved before Oct. 1, your status will have a small gap if you do not want to go outside of U.S. to get an H4 visa. This small gap will not affect you anything in the futrue, anyway.

If your H4 application is approved after Oct. 1, that will be perfect for you.
