Contract End Day and Pay Day

Hello
My question is if my payment situation would be illegally against any of the Grace Period rules.

I am working at a university and my OPT expires at July 08th. My H 1 B starts from August 28th due to the change to work in a new university.

My contract at current university ends at July 07th because of the OPT limits. However my last payment date would be July 31st since the Human Resources sets the payment system in this way. The university can not pay before July 08th even though the work ends at the beginning of July.
