Definitely ask an attorney. If an offer is tendered and accepted, it becomes a contract, which cannot be cancelled. However, employment in most states is "at will", which means the employer can fire employee for any legitimate reason.

Consult with attorney if you want to. But it might not change anything. Find a job is of priority.
