PostDoc-1.6k/month,H1 OK?

I got an offer for PostDoc in Mechanical Engineering, but just will be paid $1600/month, is this good for H1 application???
I checked the prevailing wage and got very confused because i didn't find any match??
Anybody can give a good answer or personal experience?
