You traveled without AP.
What is your eligibility category? based on your 2-year EAD, you can be EB or assylum/TPS. if EB, if you have H1/L1 I-797 and still working for the sponsor, you will be admitted as H1/L1, or if spouse is valid H1/L1, you can be admitted as H4/L2. Not a problem. If in assylum category and you have valid refugee travel document, you can be admitted too, but your travel to China may be a problem and hurt your eligibility (depending on reason that you were granted assylum).
