Hi, pjiang and everyone,
I plan to submit my H-1B extension application in early May. My passport will expire December 1, 2009. Is there a rule that requires the passport must be valid for at least 6 months when the H1-1B extension application is processed? My passport is still valid for at least 6 months when I submit my application in early May. However, when my application is processed (possibly in June or July), my passport may expire within 6 months. Should I renew my passport first and then file the H-1B extension? Thank you very much and your help is greatly appreciated.
