no real rules.
should use "Zhongxin" Bank to do the visa this time.

some case stay short than u and get through.

roughly:
1. stay china over 6 months (180 days)
2. if stay US over 6 months, stay China time longer than stay in US time.

i do know your case meet the above and get denied.
