It depends on the interviewing officer. If that officer is strict, you may be picked on such as not physically live with USC hu*****and for , say 6 months. Not residing in your state most of the last 3 months before filing N-400. Or if you stay continuous 6 months out of US, that is a clear reason to deny. Or after you file N-400, during the months (or a year) of waiting for interview, you continue to be out of US or not living with hu*****and,.. all can be picked and you really cannot argue his/her discretion because you are just borderline eligible.
