I got three LUD in a row after RFE is received. But after 2 weeks nothing happened. Called USCIS and was told that those LUDs are actually the clerk team put the RFE back to the file and did some maintenance work. My case is still on the way from holding area to officer's desk.
From my observation, actual approval does not follow LUD while the case is assigned to officer. USCIS uses 3 different system to keep all of tracking information. Some change triggers LUD, and some others do not. For example, the fingerprint system does trigger LUD, but the internal tracking system (track your case inside a service center, the location of the case (shelf, or officer's desk) does not trigger such LUD.
So if LUD happens, it seems you still have to wait for a while to get the card.
