This might be a really ooooooooold question here. And I have looked through many old posts here, but didn't get a firm answer.
It is aout paper citations. I understand that papers cited by MYSELF are not counted as citations. What about people from the same group that cited my paper? I may not even know that person. Also, what about other authors, like the third or fourth author cited the paper in his other paper (maybe still the third or fourth author?) I would like to know if they count as MY independent citations for my paper.
