pjiang, sdfsdfsdff, help on my extreme weird problem with 485

Hi, maestros,
My 485 was approved in Oct, 2008 locally at NYC (confirmed by INFOPASS and national customer service phone calls), since then I have not received anything, although the most recent update was on 1-25-2009 for "card production ordered". I called Texas center many many times using POJ method and finally they told me, in their system, my case was still showing pending and this is why the could not to print my card. No matter how I implore them, they refused verify my approval thru their internal system, but insisting they had to request my A file from record center to verify the approval status, but that process will take 45-60 days. I then called the national service line and a supervisor clearly confirmed my approval letter and stated he can't do nothing to push Texas center to expedite my card production. Seems like either somebody in SRC forgot to update my case status, or there is an internal miscommunication problem between different USCIS departments, or field office and SRC. What should I do, spend 1000$ to hire a lawyer to knock on USCIS, or just wait for another 45-60 days? It is already 5 months after the approval. please enlighten me. Thanks.
