8. Have you ever been a member of or associated with any organization, association, fund foundation, party, club, society, or similar group in the United States or in any other place?

我的問題是：What do they really mean by this? Does professional society, such as American Association for Cancer Research,belong to this category?

我想回答No (although I am a member o several similar organization/associations)，省得他們查來查去。但是又擔心被認為是撒謊。請問申請過的人，你們都是怎麽填的？
