請教一下pjiang老師, parents'I-539 rejected, can they still use multipl

My parents got their visa on July 2008 and came in USA that month. They applied for extension on Dec 2008 and today got the denial letter.
My questions are:
1. Are their visa still valid? Can they use their multiple-entry visa to come in USA again before July 2009?
2. What we should do now after the denial? When they got on the airplane, do they have to show the application and the denial letter besides the expired I-94s?
