H1B transfer遇到麻煩

我在大學做postdoc。
因為LD換工作，舉家搬遷。一時未找到適合的工作，原老板老板幫我keep H1B身份，算
我請假3個月，沒有工資。現在新的lab為我transfer H1B，學校的律師說因為我最近的
3個月沒有paystubs，移民局會拒絕這個transfer。請問，有這個說法麽？謝謝！
