急問各位大俠 re-enter US from Canada by land

Hi,
I am a H1b holder and have to drive to Canada for a few days. A friend says that when a person re-enters US from Canada by land, generally the officer does not stamp his/her passport, is that true?

If my passport is not stamped, can I ask the officer to stamp my passport because I really need the date stamp to prove my arrival.

If the stamp is denied, is there any other document to prove my stay in Canada?
