-I do not think you are qualified for the working extension because your OPT expires on 3/31/09 and before that date USCIS does not begin to accept any H1 applicaitons yet. You had better not take this risk because the consequence is very very serious. But you had not problem to stay until October 1, 2009 and begin to work on that day using your approved H1 status.
