EB2 filed in 10/2005
Both 140 approved in 2006
485 filed in 10/2006, with EB2 carrying over the PD of EB3
Finger prints: 11/2006

First letter to First Lady: 06/2007, responded by FBI indicating that our cases are still under security check process

Second letter to First Lady: 06/2008, responded by USCIS saying the cut off date is not current for our case. Then we figured that they did not transfer the PD of EB3 to our EB2, so we wrote to USCIS (just in response to that letter)in 10/08 telling them they made a mistake on the PD of our case...

Finally (on 1/26/09) when we almost rarely think about this thing, we got a welcoming email...

We do not know if it's related to our response to the USCIS, but we certainly did the following to push USCIS:
1: two letters to First Lady
2: one letter to USCIS
3: called three times to USCIS
4: one trip to local office (we got up very early and waited for half hour, and just got one simple answer "you are under security check", no more words from the person, so we just do not want to waste our time dealing with them)
