Last month I asked question if I could get my passport stamped in another USCIS office other than the one designated by the I-485 approval notice.
I found out that - Yes, you can stamp in another USCIS office!
In my case, because I used a San Jose address, I was told to get stamping done in San Jose office. But I am currently living in Orange County and I got my passport stamped in Santa Ana, CA. You have to make an appointment via USCIS's Infopass though. The process took me about 20 minutes.
