US CBP recognizes expired conditional card plus I-751 receipt, so the problem is with every one else, such as airlines, DMVs, social security office, customs of China or other countries,.... In your case, If you can be sure that the airline employees know about the I-751 receipt, you will be fine. If not, they won't allow you to board.
