Is there any advantage for EAD efiling

I want to apply an EAD. Is there anyone can tell me the advantage for efiling?
I know efiling reuire finger print. Is this fingerprint the same as I-485 finger print? if yes, efile may help in renew my expired I-485 fingerprint.

Any other advantages?
