pjiang, please help

I came to US 9 years ago as a J1 exchange student. transferred to f1 after one year on J1. after 2 years ago, transferred to h1 and obtained j1 waiver before that.
Have never returned to china during this period but my parents were here 4 year ago.
My questions are: if I go back to china, is there anything hold me back on obtaining an h1 visa? How risky is it to not getting the visa?
what are some potential reasons for not getting a h1 in general?
