申請失業救濟會影響將來辦綠卡嗎？

I got laid off recently and was planning to file unemployment, but some people (Chinese and Indians) told me that they will not file unemployment because it might delay future greecard application (because of auditing?). I don't quite get it. Anyone can help clarify? Thanks!
