I would wait to act at the end of January. Because your PD will be on current next month. Regardless whoever calls or writes to the USCIS, you might get a standard answer for - your PD is not on current this month, and wait to call us back after your PD past 30 days.

Actually, I am on the same boat as you. My PD is also in June 2004. I asked my lawyer contacted USCIS several months ago (when my PD was on current) and they send him a case tracking number, and said we should receive a feedback within 45 days. Now it is about 3 months passed, we didn't hear anything back. I am planning to have my lawyer to follow-up with them at the end of January.
