2. How much is the fine, less than 1000$, any probation?
Less than $1000. 24-months of probation.
3. You need to prepare the court certified final disposition of the case. USCIS will ask for original.
We brought them to the local interview and they have everything too.
4. Prepare yourself for a long process. For your best interest, the longer they take, the better for you.
What can we do to help the situation? The IO said they will decide soon. Seems we can do nothing but wait now.
5. Prepare a statement for what happened, e.g. your hu*****and was very depressed, too stressful at work...that resulted in the DV---it is called extenuating circumstance, in short, give some excuses for the DV.
6. What is teh formal charge again?
The formal charge is Violence but the IO said any Violence to family members is the DV. So they need more investigation on the case.
Do you think we should find an attorney now? And if it is denied, what can we do?
