The problem is, if the company does not sponsor H1B renewal(there's $500 anti-fraud fee which employee can't pay and employer has to pay by law), I have no way to renew it.
The company is trying to cut cost. Since EAD renewal does not cost a penny (after you paid the 1st application for EAD), the company believes this is extra unnecssary spending given the current economic condition (used to sponsor both renewals).
