I really filled out the w9 and gave my SSN to the company for this small job, because the company asked for this info. before doing the payment.

I will follow your instructions on this matter.

That means not changing/clearing this record in IRS may only affect my 485 approval, it will not affect others, like my H1B status etc.? Is this true, please confirm,
