If you hold TN living and working in US, and filed I-140, there might be a risk acrossing border. You have to ask lawyer to confirm before you go. Because if immigration officer check all your files, and see there is a conflict of immigration intent (filed I-140) with 3 year TN, they might void your TN, this will cause big trouble for you. I also don't have US degree, computer random draw was not luck to me before, but I'm luck to get I-485 all open July 2007. Good Luck to you!
