Processing Time

Anyone knows which date the processing time is exactly compared to? Is it the Received Date on 485 Receipt or something else? Also, it seems there is a 2 month time lag for USCIS to post processing time. Is there anyway I can find out the processing time for Sept. 2008? Thank you so much!!!
