I just noticed that my A# on old EAD for OPT is different from the A# on my new EAD for I-485, is this normal?
Yes, it is normal
The old A# was put on my I-131 form when the company lawyer filed my AP last year.
Your lawyer should not have done that (but not a big problem if s/he did)
I want to file AP renewal myself this year, but my question is which A# I should use for my I-131 this time?
Your should use the A# based on your I485
By the way, I checked my files today, and only found copies of receipt notices of my I-485 and I-140. It seems laywer didn't send me the original receipt notices. Does it mean only employer or lawyer has the right to keep original receipts? Should I ask him for these?
Yes, employer keep the original
