I-485 interview, PD not current, change job

Today we received I-485 interview notice. Interview date is 11/3/08.

1. Is it necessary to ask the attorney to go with us?

2. The applicant plans to change job before the interview date. Should he hold on H1B transfer/new job start date or it doesn't matter?

3. If we pass the interview, do we still need to wait for our PD become current to get GC? And before that do we still need to apply for EAD and AP?
