-If your I-485 pending is more than 180days, you do not get RFE and the employer do not report the umemployment of your spouse to USCIS, you still have a good change to get the I-485 approved. But if the umemployment lasts too long, it may cause a problem on the I-485.

-I am not quite sure. For safe reason, I suggest that you may go outside U.S. to get an H-1 visa to reinstate your H-1 status if you receive the Deny Notice for your I-485.
