I think that you did not register in the USCIS online status notification services and have them automatically notify you via email any time your application's status changes. If you did, you should receive several emails saying "card is ordered", and so on, otherwise, you will only get the letters via mail, such as the "Welcome notice", and the card.
As far as the infopass, interview, and so on are concerned, it would be so lucky not to have to do this. I did not have to deal with those either, but I did receive all the emails and mails.
