863211, pijiang: Is it ok to have gap between jobs,485 pending?

I am about to change job. just discuss the start date with new employer. I want to take some time off before starting new job. my 485 is pending more than 180 days with 140 approved. Is it ok to have gap in my employment history? I am going to use EAD to work for new employer.
